hangover, humidity and a 13 hour flight....

Welcome, to the last blog!! We are currently getting the last few bits packed and then we shall close our laptops for good from Hong Kong! Last night we went down to the piers to see the skyline illuminated and then went to the Wheel Bar for our goodbye drinks. We didn't order them but various colours of tequila and other shots appeared on the bar before too long along with magical auto-refilling pint glasses. Rus had a great time with a microphone which he found on the bar and played some guitar and we both went home in the early hours. Not too bad considering the amount of drinks they were trying to make us drink.
Today we check out shortly and then off to central to do the in town check in. We then have to hang around for a few hours before we go to the airport so wish us luck - the weather is hot hot hot today. To all of you that have been following the blog, thank you for your comments - they meant a lot to us and we shall see you soon. Will we miss Hong Kong? parts of it for sure, some of the people we feel are better friends out here, than the ones we have back home but there's no substitution for our Mums and Dads, that we are both really looking forward to seeing again soon. Lots of Love Emma and Rus x x x

Bit of a sad sunday....

Today we had all good intentions of making the most of our last sunday in HK! we got up quite late due to some late night packing last night and headed off to Lamma - down to the piers and the fast ferry later, we were walking down the front. We love Lamma. We had a quick look around for Peter, but could not see him. We went and saw Dogan (sounds like Doran) a turkish kebab shop owner that knows Peter very well and he informed us that Peter had an accident on Wednesday and was currently in hospital on the mainland. One kebab, a ferry trip and a trip the entire length of the Island line on the MTR later, we caught a taxi to the hospital and went to see Peter. It was one of the things we wanted to do today, but in different circumstances. We hope that he gets better soon and will stay in contact with him through Dogan. He's really a very lovely guy indeed.
